Unusual Uses for Go

Not long ago I started listening to the excellent “Go Time” podcast from the ChangeLog network. I highly recommend it for a relaxed approach to lots of interesting topics around the Go language and it’s common uses. And so I was thrilled when they reached out to ask me to join them for a discussion about GUIs and other unusual uses for Go.

One recording session later we spoke about graphical toolkits in Go for almost the whole hour – not getting to most of the other topics that were considered… I guess there will be another “Unusual uses for Go” episode coming along later! Listen below and see what you think.

Hopefully this episode helps people to think more seriously about how well matched Go is to building graphical applications. And if you’re thinking about working on a GUI then why not take a look at the Fyne toolkit ;).
